Why We Soap?
Why We Soap?
For a while now, I have been doing my own research to find natural alternatives to all of the beauty/hygiene products that I use daily. To my surprise I was not able to find ANY products that did not contain harmful additives (Unless they were handmade)
Soap Is a product that we all use every day. Many people are unaware of all of the toxic ingredients in soap, relying on the packaging and the fragrance that may seem appealing to the eye.
Most soaps that you will find on the shelves of your local supermarket contain harsh detergents, PHOSPHATES, SULFATES(SLES & SLS), PARABENS, METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE, METHYLCHLOROISOTHIAZOLINONE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, TRICLOSAN and many other chemicals. These chemicals are incorporated solely for the benefit of the soap itself to smell, feel, or last long; at the expense of your health.
If you are using products (especially on children) that contain ANY of these ingredients I urge you to do your own research on the effect these chemicals have on your body; both short and long term.
This is the reason I started making Soaps. Not only can you avoid all of these chemicals, it leaves you feeling clean and moisturized.
